Every generation has its own struggle, and its own fights. One such struggle of 3 generations has been beautifully depicted in the recently launched directorial venture of Renuka Shahane, Tribhanga - Tedhi Medi Crazy. It is released on NETFLIX.
Based on the 3 generations, this story revolves around Tanvi Azmi, Kajol, and Mithila Palkar. These three protagonists of the movie played the role of grandmother, mother, and granddaughter, and they have beautifully depicted all ups and downs that we often sees in between parents and children.
The Excellent Depiction of Social Issues - Tribhanga Movie Review
The story line of the movie is tightly written and commendably covers some sensational and serious social issues like child abuse, gender dissemination, struggle of single parent - specially for mother, and the condition and social status of a woman who wants to break the stereotype & live in conservative society on her own terms.
The Story of Tribhanga Movie - Tribhanga Review
Renuka Shahane has not only directed this movie but she has also written it. And she excellently penned the story of Tribhanga. Captivating and thought provoking, this Trinbhanga's story has some real substance.
Screenplay is tight, gripping, and composed. Audience won't feel boring even for a single second. This one and half long film covers every aspect of human life.
The Work of Actors
Renuka Shahane is not only a great artist but she has also proved that she can also rule in the hat of director. She has juiced the best work out of the actors in the movie to their full potential.
Kajol in Tribhanga - She will be seen in a never seen before avatar. She has portrayed the role of a tough, outspoken, bold, self-dependent mother, who can go to any extent to save her daughter.
Kajol in Tribhanga has played the role of a renowned Bollywood actress and Odissi dancer Anuradha Apte, who's love for her daughter is as deep as her hate for her mother.
As story moves ahead, you will more understand her character and why she is like that.
Tanvi Azmi in Tribhanga - It is always pleasing experience watching Tanvi Azmi on the screen. She played her role as a Sahitra Academy Winning Author Nayantara Apte, mother of Kajol in the movie Tribhanga. She was charming, and played a role of a woman who lived on her own terms and took care of her children as a single parent.
Kunal Roy Kapur in Tribhanga - Kunal has played his part charmingly. Listening to his hindi will be a pleasing experience. She woks with Nayantara Apte (Tanvi Azmi) and he is like a catalyst, who take the story forward and let audience introduce to new things.
Mithila Palkar in Tribhanga - A loving grand daughter, and super caring daughter is how we can describe Masha's character. Always stand sturdy with her mother, Anuradha, Masha loves her mother unconditionally and in the climax she do and say something which makes you think, that Tribhanga could be your own story.
Kanwaljeet Singh - One of the Bollywood veteran Kanwaljeet Singh played the role of Bhaskar Raina, a man who believes in open relationship. His emergence in Anuradha's (Kajol) life was like a spring after exhausting cold winters.
Vaibhav Tatwawaadi as an abusive step father, Shweta Mehendale as young Tanvi Azmi, and Manav Gohil as Anuradha's friend were brilliant in their respective roles. Their acting was something to worth watching.
Treat For The Eyes - Tribhanga Movie Review
While writing Tribhanga Review, it is necessary for me to let you give a hint of nostalgia, special to the millennials who were huge fan of popular TV series Family No. 1.
Watching Tanvi Azmi and Kanwaljeet Singh together after near 2 decades give you the nostalgia of 90's. It was the time when these two artists came together for a popular and love TV show, Family No.1.
